About Us
 Whistle Stop Furniture is located in Franklin's Whistle Stop Mall. The mall, once an old factory, was renovated to accommodate retail stores, restaurants, an arts and crafts section and antiques. Whistle Stop Furniture started as a used furniture store but quickly grew into an unfinished furniture store that provided a full line of stains and finishing services. As the business grew more space was taken on and log furniture was introduced. Now there is over 9,000 square feet of showroom and a warehouse where assembly and shipping take place. Pictured below is what makes Whistle Stop Furniture so successful. |

Dorota Anthony:

Dorota came to the US in 2003 on a work/travel program. While in the US for the first time she met her future husband. Married in 2005 they now own a a home where they enjoy gardening, spending time outdoors and watching movies. To stay in shape and relieve stress, Dorota is involved in a local kickboxing class. |

David is married with three daughters. He enjoys bowling, camping and is family oriented. |

Hometown: El Paso, TX
Mary Margaret was with the business from the beginning. She moved to Franklin in 1998 as a "retired" senior but came out of retirement to help in the store. She enjoys time off to spend time with her grandkids, work at her church and travel with her sister. |

Bobby is married with two kids. He likes to watch NASCAR and coaches in both baseball and soccer. |

Ginger is the mother of two wonderful children and enjoys working with people. She likes the challenges of learning new things and handles a wide variety of details on the sales floor.

Scott & Tami Zuiderveen:
Hometown: Scott is from Grand Rapids, MI and Tami is from West Palm Beach, FL.
Scott and Tami have been married since 2000 when they moved to Franklin, NC. They opened Whistle Stop Furniture in 2001 as a used furniture store that quickly grew into an unfinished furniture store. In 2003 they again expanded by adding rustic log furniture. With continued growth, they kept adding new lines of both furniture and accessories. Scott handles the day to day operations, while Tami works behind the scenes in bookkeeping while staying home with their young children. They hope to see you soon at one of the Log Shows! |
