Log Railings
An excellent way to give the outside of your house a rustic log cabin feel is by installing log railings. The logs we use for our rails and fences are made from Northern white cedar and hickory. White cedar is naturally insect and rot resistant and unlike pine, is excellent for outdoor use. Our railings are all hand peeled, not the commonly found smooth factory milled rails. This gives our log railings that distinct handcrafted look.
When you receive your railings they will be assembled and the posts will be pre-drilled and notched. We use a 2" diameter tenon for a strong, solid fit. Stair railings are not tenoned, but rather left long to be cut onsite. All railings and posts are unfinished and we recommend finishing them with an outdoor stain. |

Specs |
To get started all we need is the measurements of your deck or loft. We'll need to know where the permanent posts are and the rise and run of your stairs. Once we have the measurements we'll lay everything out with the correct spacing and number of posts needed. See the diagram below to help.
